How Does Alltrue Work?
Every three months, you’ll receive a fully customizable box of products worth $200+. The boxes are set to ship 4x per year. You can signup as an Annual Member (pay for the year in advance, with added perks) or as a Quarterly Member (pay per box seasonally).
To sign up, first, you’ll need to select a membership type. After that, you’ll create an account, enter your payment information, then wait for the email announcing the upcoming season’s box. At that point, you’ll log in to your Alltrue account to customize your box.
Annual members can customize every product in the box. Quarterly members can customize 3 products! (More brownie points for the Annual Membership!)
After selecting your items, you will have the option to add more products to your box! For these additional items, you get to enjoy up to 70% off on 700+ curated sustainable, ethical goods in the seasonal members-only markets.
What’s Inside an Alltrue Subscription Box?
Alltrue is delivered on a seasonal schedule— spring, summer, fall, and winter. Each box offers 6-8 new products that are customizable or a complete surprise, depending on your membership type and your preference. The product offerings range anywhere from wellness products, housewares, and art to jewelry, accessories, apparel, and beauty products.
One of the distinguishing features of this box is that it comes with a magazine that contains the story behind every product included. This allows you to learn about the items you’re paying for and how they were sourced. Talk about shopping for a cause!
You never know what you’re going to get, but you can feel confident about whatever you do get. If you sign up for the annual subscription service, you get the added flexibility to customize some of the products in your box.
How Much Does Alltrue Cost?
If you sign up for the annual membership ($199.80) your four boxes back out to $49.95 per box. The annual subscription option requires customers to pay a one-time fee upfront. This one-time payment gets you four boxes, delivered every three months.
If that’s too much of a commitment and you’d rather go with a quarterly membership, the cost of each box is $54.95. If you opt for the quarterly membership and end up getting a whole year’s worth, you will end up paying $20 more than Annual Members. You can also just join as a Quarterly Member to try just the one box before deciding if you want to commit to the annual membership.
Pro Tip: If you try Alltrue out for one or two quarters and find that you’re really digging the products, sign up for the annual membership! You’ll be saving $5 per box, which can add up over time. I’m on my second year of receiving Alltrue and have saved $30+ so far with the annual membership.
In terms of shipping, Alltrue shipping is free in the United States, excluding Hawaii and Alaska ($7.95 shipping fee). Alltrue ships to Canada for $7.95 as well, with no additional charge for duties or taxes.
Alltrue Spring 2021 Box Review
Today, I’ll be reviewing Alltrue’s Spring 2021 subscription box. When the Spring Box was delivered, technically the company still called CAUSEBOX. However at the time of writing, they have since rebranded to Alltrue.
I’ve been an official CAUSEBOX/Alltrue annual member since the beginning of 2020 and have been loving every minute of it (I even wish these boxes could be delivered on a monthly basis). The Winter 2020 box was such a delight–I couldn’t wait to see what Alltrue would deliver this quarter.
This quarter’s box was actually a complete surprise to me because I had accidentally missed the customization window. That meant that I personally selected none of the items in the box. When I opened it, I had mixed feelings. Wondering why? Let’s take a peek at what’s inside my Alltrue Spring 2021 box!
The Alltrue Spring 2021 Box – Total Retail Value: $257 USD
First Impressions: I loved the design of the box, everything about it screamed springtime to me. And everything inside the box was very blue and white! My eyes immediately were drawn to the large canvas bag, which I found to be very high quality based on simply touching it. Lastly, in doing a quick flip through the mini-mag, I got really excited for spring/summer (time to get serious about exercising)!

FEED Projects Canvas Market Tote: $108 value
First off, I want to say how much I love what this brand is doing and what they’re all about. FEED is an impact driven lifestyle brand with an enduring mission statement—that people’s choices of what to buy and wear have the power to change the world.
Hunger is a daily reality for approximately 795 million people, and one of the most effective solutions to combat this crisis is school feeding. The number on each product represents the number of school meals provided with your purchase. These meals feed children in schools around the world, as well as here in America, through on-the-ground giving partners.
Not only is this tote going to be super useful for those farmer’s market runs (with its many compartments), but it’s also going to remind me that my day-to-day choices in life can make an impact. This bag is great, and I think it’s far superior compared to some of my other boring canvas totes.

Palm + Perkins Set of 4 Upcycled Napkins: $38 value
These bad boys will be so useful in our household. We’re always trying to take that next step to be more sustainable, and replacing our disposable napkin usage has been on our list for a while now. We’ve been on the hunt for cute reusable napkins that didn’t cost an arm and a leg (why do all the sustainable living stores charge so much for napkins??), and we’ve found them today!
The best thing is that I didn’t have to pay a whopping $38 for these (that’s the retail price). Loving the value of this season’s Alltrue box already.

This Works Stress Check Sleep Spray: $25 value
I am absolutely obsessed with my pillow sprays by thisworks. This natural sleep aid has been bringing my boyfriend and I better sleep for months! It really does help me relax at night, as my mind can often wander and become deep in thought about work stuff. I love this product so much that I often gift it to friends and family–because who couldn’t use a bit of self-care and calming scents in their life?
So naturally, I was pretty excited when I discovered this in my Alltrue box! If you haven’t tried a sleeping spray, now’s the time to get one for yourself!

Stojo Collapsible Cup 16 oz: $20 value
Yes, I had always seen collapsible cups on the market, but never pulled the trigger on one myself. I’m so glad I received one as part of my Alltrue subscription box. Not only does it pack up small (which will be great for traveling), but it also feels really sturdy. This means water won’t come spilling out of it when you leave it unattended!
This cup is now one of the most adorable cups I own! I love, love, love the muted colors that this collapsible cup comes in. Check out these other colors they have it in–all so adorable.

Three Ships Lip Treatment Kit: $30 value
This duo kit comes with a lip exfoliator and a buttercream mask that hydrates and rejuvenates. I love that it’s made with 100% natural ingredients, but thinking through my day-to-day beauty routine, I’m not sure how likely I’ll work this one in. They certainly smell delicious, and because it’ll be way better for my lips than vaseline, I plan to replace my jar of vaseline with the buttercream mask. We’ll see how it goes!

Adesse New York Power Couple Nail Care Duo: $36 value
This nail care duo promises to strengthen dry, brittle nails and keep your nails in tip-top shape. Given that I now work from home and am staying home more than ever as a result of this pandemic, the last thing that I worry about is the status of my nails! I was a little bummed to have received this product, simply because it’s not something I really care about or need.
After doing some research on it, I found that this product really does what it claims. (Alltrue might not always give you what you want, but one thing is for certain–the company doesn’t give crappy products.) I have a cousin who loves doing her nails, so this would make the perfect regift to her.
Final Thoughts: Alltrue Spring Box 2021
Subscription Box Expert Rating: 6/10
Overall, I thought this season’s Alltrue subscription box was one of the weakest I’ve received thus far (and so far I’ve been loving each and every past season’s boxes). This could have been due to the fact that I hadn’t self-selected any of the items. However, even from looking through some of the other items featured in this season’s box (the mini-mag lists all the possible featured products out, even if it’s not in your box), I wasn’t too impressed with the variety.
Some of the other items included: Maji Sports Pack of Three Loop Resistance Bands, PÜR Lit Mist Illuminating Setting Spray, and Province Apothecary Regenerating Stimulating Exfoliator.
Despite my positive impression of a few of the items, I felt like this season didn’t have as strong of a cohesive theme as other boxes in the past. I will say, though, that you really can’t beat the value of the box (items were retailed at $257, cost of box was $49.95).
This is why I am SO obsessed with the value Alltrue delivers each and every season. I get really high-quality products that are not only sustainable but also have super empowering missions and stories behind them. I love how I get to read about each and every product, why the Alltrue team chose that product, and what value it brings to either the workers, the business owners, or to both parties. Not only do these products make me feel good on the outside, but I also feel great knowing I’m supporting a cause. That’s essentially what Alltrue is all about.
Despite the fact that the Alltrue Spring 2021 box didn’t leave a strong impression on me, I am still a huge fan of Alltrue and can’t wait to see what they have in store for us subscribers in the summer!
